WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT
REVOLUTION ME GIVING TUESDAY 2021
This year, for Giving Tuesday we need your support to help Revolution Me continue to develop our programs.
For over 5 years, Revolution Me has fostered a community of filmmakers and artists which has grown even stronger during the pandemic because of your support! Thank you for all that you have done to help us achieve so much.
2021 was a good year for the film festival and the media lab. Revolution Film Festival had its 6th run with our 2nd year screening virtually and for free. This year we were able to have an in-person kick-off, and it was an amazing turnout! We also held a very empowering and informative panel discussion about raising funds for documentaries. And as always, our high school film block was beyond impressive with student film submissions from the US and abroad.
We also successfully launched the RM Media Lab with online and in-person classes. Our cellphone photography, screenwriting, and digital illustration courses were taught by professional artists using smartphone devices and free apps. We are currently in partnership with The Garden School teaching classes in exchange for space to run our afterschool programs.
And though we had a great year, we still have a lot more work to do and we need your support! Through our programs are in the early phases, it is growing every day. We are asking for your help to keep growing too.
Goals for 2022:
Revolution Me Film Festival
Revolution Me Film Festival will be 100% live for the 7th Annual Film Festival. In addition to the networking mixer and festival screenings, we will be holding professional development workshops for all filmmakers. There will also be a gallery event showcasing the RMML student's artwork and films.
Revolution Me Media Lab
RMML will be adding more classes and equipment to our mobile media lab. Some classes being offered next year are an intensive filmmaking workshop and traditional art classes. Each class will be outfitted with up-to-date equipment.
Other Goals for 2022:
-Exhibition space to showcase student work and films.
-A permanent space for workshops for students, community, other organizations, and volunteers.
