The course catalogue for our spring semester starting in March is up!  Free classes are available to high schools students and young adults (that are not enrolled in a college program).  Classes are taught by skilled and experienced volunteer media artists.  Enrollment is limited, so please sign up soon. 


For classes, students will need a device with a wifi connection. We ask students to be able to commit to the entirety of the class as space is limited to a certain amount of students. 

Select the classes in which you are interested in by clicking the 'enroll'. You can register for more than one class. Fill out a registration form for each class you wish to enroll.  The teacher of the class will send you a welcome email with a ZOOM link and course information.

    2D Digital Design  

Monday 5:00- 6:30 (11 classes)

Do you like to sketch and want to take your drawings to the next level? Adobe Draw is a 2D digital drawing app that puts  vector drawing tools and features into a simple app, so it’s easy to turn any idea or inspiration into a beautiful design. In hand with  Adobe Capture from the app store--this class will teach you how to create new shapes as well as  an understand of color theory --and have it immediately appear on your Adobe Draw.


  Writing Intentional Scenes: A Screenwriting Overview I 

Saturday 3:00- 4:30 (10 classes) 

Starts April 17

The objective of this class is to learn the elements of a scene and how to use them when writing a screenplay.  Students will select one concept/idea and write the same scene in three different ways: using only spoken dialogue, using only visual action, and non-verbal dialogue. And lastly, focusing on improving the visuals, but this time write only one line of dialogue to capture the theme of the scene. By the end of the course, students will have created a 2-3 page scene and will have gained the ability to improve their scenes by rewriting the same scenes focusing on different elements

  SMARTPHONE Photography I

This introductory class focuses on  photography as an art medium using new approaches and techniques with cellphone technology.  Artistic, theoretical and technical aspects of photo capture and development will be explored. Topics  will include:

Use of cellphone cameras; Theory, mechanics and art of cellphone imagery; Use of editing apps specific to cellphone photography; Effective uploading of imagery to various social media platforms.

Have you ever wanted to learn the art of screenwriting?


In this class, you will learn the technical layout of creating a screenplay. You will also learn how to develop elements of telling a visual story such as character development, plots, and story structure.  At the end of the class, you will have completed a short script.
